A Victorian mansion, a little old-world romance, Thai food, and a Whole Foods wedding cake. Honestly, what’s not to love?

Hannah and Trevor are one of those couples who just make sense together. She’s in healthcare, he’s an actor, and somehow their different worlds balance each other out beautifully. They share a love for art, discovering new places, hiking, cooking, and a good movie. So getting married somewhere with as much history and character as Falkirk Cultural Center in San Rafael felt pretty fitting.
And what a place.
Stained-glass windows, dark wood interiors, antique furniture, and the kind of moody little corners I could happily photograph in all afternoon.

But as much as I loved the setting, what made this wedding special was how personal everything felt.
Hannah’s cousin, Cassidy Fiel, created the prettiest pink and ivory florals. Trevor’s uncle took care of videography. Dinner was catered by Thai Rice Spoon Catering, from the team behind Thai Table in Berkeley. And the wedding cake? Whole Foods. Because sometimes you really don’t need to complicate a good thing.

It was a smaller celebration, with the people they loved most, and one thing Hannah and Trevor were especially looking forward to: dancing with everyone.

Which, judging by the photos, nobody had any trouble doing.
There were beautiful portraits, happy tears, a whole lot of dancing, and eventually, cake on just about every plate.
Exactly the kind of wedding I love photographing.
A little romance, a little chaos, and a whole lot of life.
